How to Sign Up for Space Race

Space Race is a private game that uses an invite-only system. You'll need an invite code from the game organizer before you can create an account.

Step 1: Get an Invite Code

Contact the game organizer to get your invite code. Without it, registration will be rejected.

Step 2: Go to the Register Page

Click Register in the top navigation bar, or use the link at the bottom of the login page.

Step 3: Fill in the Registration Form

The form has five fields:

  1. Username — your login name. Pick something short and memorable; you'll type this every time you log in. It cannot be changed later.
  2. Email — used for account recovery only. Not shown to other players.
  3. Company — your in-game company name. This is what other players see on the Space News and in the auction house. Choose a name for your space company.
  4. Password — at least 6 characters.
  5. Confirm Password — type your password a second time.
  6. Invite Code — the code you received from the game organizer. Not case-sensitive.

Click Sign Up. If the invite code is correct and the username is not already taken, your account will be created and you will be redirected to the login page.

Step 4: Log In

Use your username and password to log in. Once logged in you will see the full navigation: Take Turn, Auction, My Satellites, and Design Contracts.

Step 5: Wait for the Game Organizer to Add You to the Game

Creating an account does not automatically put you in the current game. The game organizer adds players to the active game. Once you are added, the next time a new game starts you will receive:

  • Starting cash: $1,000M
  • Starting technologies: Rocket Science, Small Rocket, Research, Ground Operations, and Launch Facility techs
  • Starting facilities: one Research Facility, one Ground Operations Facility, and one Launch Facility

Having Trouble?

  • "Invalid invite code" — double-check with the game organizer. The code is not case-sensitive.
  • "Username already taken" — choose a different username.
  • Forgot your password — contact the game organizer; an admin can reset it via the PW Reset page.
  • Bug reports and feature requests — use the bug tracker.
