How to become a Spacerace Play Tester

To become a Spacerace play tester there are three things you need to set up: register with the game, get a Jira customer login so you can report bugs, and join our Discord server. There is also a short onboarding meeting we'll schedule once you're set up.

How to Register

  1. Go to the Register page
    1. Come up with a creative company name — this is your screen name and how everyone will know you in the game
    2. Enter the invite code Dave gave you
    3. Fill in your username, email, password, and the rest of the form
  2. Submit the form — you'll be logged into the game immediately

Get Your Jira Customer Login

Jira is where you'll submit bug reports and suggestions directly into the development queue. Dave will add you as a customer after you register.

  1. Look for an invitation email from Jira (sent from menconi.atlassian.net)
  2. Click the link in the email and follow the instructions to create or link your Atlassian account
  3. Once set up, you can submit tickets at menconi.atlassian.net

Get on Discord

Discord is our main channel for game discussion, questions, and announcements outside of Jira tickets.

  1. Use this invite link to join the Space Race server: discord.gg/7W4VrHH5
    1. If you don't have a Discord account yet, you'll be prompted to create one — it's free
  2. Follow the Discord instructions to accept the invite and join the server
  3. Say hello in #general so we know you're in!

Schedule Your Onboarding Meeting

Once you're set up, we'll have a short one-time Google Meet to walk you through the game, answer questions, and make sure everything is working.

  1. Send Dave at least three times you're available (day and time, with your timezone)
  2. Dave will confirm a time and send you a Google Meet link
  3. To join the meeting: click the link Dave sends, or go to meet.google.com and enter the meeting code

Having Trouble?

  • "Invalid invite code" — double-check with Dave. The code is not case-sensitive.
  • "Username already taken" — choose a different username.
  • Forgot your password — contact Dave; an admin can reset it.
  • Bug reports and feature requests — use the bug tracker.
